Training...and more training!

On the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving, crews gathered for their weekly training. Training focused on hose line deployment. Crews were split up into teams and competed against each other for time. Crews needed to deploy the 1 3/4" hose line, mask up, advance the hose line, and flow water at a specific target. This training not only allows crews to practice this critical skill but also adds some fun to the training.

On Sunday, the volunteers of the Glen Moore Fire Company conducted a live fire training at the West Chester Fire Department Training Center. Crews trained on all aspects of engine company operations including water supply, hose line deployment and management, fire extinguishment, search, and laddering the building.

The Glen Moore Fire Company sends a big thank you to Kimberton Fire Company (Station 61) for covering our first due area on Sunday. We also want to thank the volunteers from Ludwig's Corner Fire Company (Station 73) and West Whiteland Fire Company (Station 6) who assisted us during the burn drill.
