On Wednesday evening, crews continued training on engine company operations. Skills from last week were reinforced during the training. These included laying the supply line, deploying the 1 3/4" hose line, and forcing entry. During the scenarios, however, crews were faced with additional challenges such as fire on multiple floors and rescuing victims.

Skills practiced included hose line management in the interior of the building. The hose line needed to be maneuvered around obstacles as well as up and down the stairs. Another skill then involved completing search and rescue operations.

During training, the company was dispatched for an automatic fire alarm. Engine 48-5 made the response and determined that the alarm was caused by a culinary mishap.
